The World Health Organization introduces the Global Diabetes Compact

On November 13th, 2020, on the eve of World Diabetes Day, the World Health Organization’s Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced the WHO Global Diabetes Compact, which will launch in April 2021. The virtual launch event was attended by representatives of governments, academia and civil society to discuss current challenges to diabetes care and what needs to be done to overcome them.
